Ultragel II has a 25+ year history as the most frequently specified and used NDT ultrasonic couplant in the world. It is Sonotech’s premier water based couplant for performance and ferrous corrosion inhibition for use in flaw detection, thickness gauging, flow metering, and acoustic emission testing. Temperature Operating Range -10º to 250ºF (-23º to 121ºC)

Sonotrace is a moderately priced, ambient temperature water-based couplant for flaw detection and thickness gauging where Chlorine, Sulfur and low melting point metals must be kept to a minimum and glycerin is to be avoided. Temperature Operating Range 25° to 190°F (-4° to 88°C)

UT-X Powder is a couplant concentrate useful for flaw detection and thickness gauging applications where ferrous corrosion inhibition is not a concern. Temperature Operating Range 32º to 130ºF (0º to 54ºC) in standard tap water Can be winterized to -20ºF (-29ºC)

HIGH Z is well suited for testing on curved, rough and/or corroded surfaces that require a high acoustic impedance. HIGH Z provides the highest acoustic impedance of all Sonotech couplants, thus reducing surface noise and improving coupling performance for flaw inspection or thickness gaging metals, especially those with rough surfaces. (Comparable to Qualcorp 50-A-4084 Couplant)

PYROGEL^® provides high coupling over a wide temperature for thickness gaging, flow metering, acoustic emission testing, and flaw inspection. PYROGEL meets the chlorine and sulfur requirements as specified in NAVSHIPS MIL-STD-767.

Sono 600 provides extended temperature and non-drying coupling for thickness gauging, acoustic emission testing, and flaw inspection in petrochemical, power generating and with food processing machinery, pharmaceutical manufacturing and storage equipment. Temperature Operating Range Thickness gauging: 0º to 600ºF (-18º to 315ºC) Flaw inspection: 50º to 500ºF (-10º to 260ºC)

Sono 950 provides rapid coupling for thickness gauging and flaw inspection between 600°F (315°C) and 950°F (510°C). Temperature Operating Range Thickness Gauging: 600° to 950°F (315° to 510°C) Flaw Inspection: 600° to 725°F (315° to 385°C)

Echocide is an algaecide additive that prevents algae and bacterial growth in UT immersion tanks and squirter systems. Temperature Operating Range 32º to 120ºF (0º to 49ºC)

Echogel is an economically priced couplant for flaw inspection and thickness gauging for volume use. Echogel resists viscosity breakdown on salt-caked boiler surfaces. Temperature Operating Range 27º to 175ºF (3º to 79ºC) Available Winterized to -20ºF
